異文化間教育学会　第44回大会ご挨拶

　この度、異文化間教育学会 第44回大会を、2023年6月10日（土）・11日（日）に東京都立大学南大沢キャンパスにおいて開催させていただくことになりました。大会準備委員はじめ都立大教職員一同、皆様のお越しを心より歓迎申し上げます。
　1949年に開学した東京都立大学は1991年に目黒区より八王子市南大沢へ移転し、2005年4月には当時の都立四大学「東京都立大学」「東京都立科学技術大学」「東京都立保健科学大学」「東京都立短期大学」を再編・統合して「首都大学東京」として新設されました。2020年には大学名称を再び「東京都立大学」に変更し、現在、南大沢・日野・荒川キャンパスに学部・大学院生あわせて約9,000名が学んでいます。東京都設置による唯一の公立大学として、「大都市における人間社会の理想像を追求すること」を使命とし、大都市東京ならではの都市に立脚した教育研究に取り組んでまいりました。
　会場となる南大沢キャンパスは京王相模原線の南大沢駅からアウトレットパークを抜けて徒歩5分、新宿方面・橋本方面いずれからもアクセスできる好立地にございます。東京ドーム9個分の面積を有し、緑あふれるキャンパスに多くの皆様にお集まりいただけますことを楽しみにしつつ、委員一同、準備を進めております。
　なお、対面での実施可否判断については、東京都立大学の新型コロナ感染防止に関わるガイドラインに従って、皆様にお知らせします。現時点では対面での実施を前提に準備をしておりますが、オンラインへの切り替えの可能性についてもお含みおきくださいませ。安全で実り多い大会となりますよう努めて参りますので、ご協力のほど何卒よろしくお願い申し上げます。

We are pleased to announce that the 44th Annual Conference of the Society for Intercultural Education will be held on June 10 and 11, 2023, at the Minami-Osawa Campus of Tokyo Metropolitan University.

Tokyo Metropolitan University, which opened in 1949, moved from Meguro-Ku to Minami-Osawa in Hachioji City in 1991 and was newly established as "Syuto Daigaku-Tokyo" in April 2005 by reorganizing and integrating the then four metropolitan universities. In 2020, the university’s name changed back to "Tokyo Metropolitan University," and currently has approximately 9,000 undergraduate and graduate students studying at the Minami-Osawa, Hino, and Arakawa campuses. As the only public university established by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the university's mission is "to pursue an ideal image of human society in a metropolis," It is engaged in education and research based on the unique urban environment of the metropolis of Tokyo.

The Minami-Osawa Campus is a 5-minute walk from Minami-Osawa Station on the Keio Sagamihara Line, passing through the outlet park, and is conveniently located for access from both Shinjuku and Hashimoto areas. With an area equivalent to nine times the size of the Tokyo Dome, the Preparation Committee and all of us look forward to welcoming you to this beautiful greenery-filled campus.

We will inform you of our decision on whether or not to conduct the face-to-face meeting following the Tokyo Metropolitan University's guidelines for the prevention of new corona infection. We are preparing for a face-to-face meeting, but please be aware of the possibility of switching to an online meeting. We will make every effort to ensure a safe and productive convention, and we appreciate your cooperation.
